A hierarchy in Majorana non-abelian tests and hidden variable models

Abstract The recent progress of the Majorana experiments paves a way for future tests non-abelian braiding statistics and topologically-protected quantum information processing. However, deficient design in those could be very dangerous reach false-positive conclusions. A careful theoretical analysis is necessary order to develop loophole-free tests. We introduce series classical hidden variable models capture certain key properties system: non-locality, topologically non-triviality, interference. Those help us classify set up boundaries limitations tests: fusion tests, test with joint measurements. find hierarchy among increasing experimental complexity.
